"The Safety in Action Week (5th to 9th March) at Dreamland was a tremendous success due to their enthusiasm, commitment and sense of fun. They worked in partnership with the below multi agency partners teaching 737 young children vital first aid lessons.
Your pupils had boundless energy, were excellent in their first aid presentations and really engaged well with all of the Primary School Pupils. I was so impressed with how well they all worked together.
We made contact with 737 Children from 13 different Primary Schools across Thanet in this interactive event for Year 6 children which helps prepare them for their transition to Secondary School. Their hard work and training of first aid was appreciated by all. I will be nominating them for a 2018 Try Angle Award.
The Young Children from the 13 Primary Schools were presented with 10 different scenarios designed to engage and inform them about specific safety issues and risks. These included:
1) Online Safety By Project Salus
2) Preventing Conflict By NHS School Nurse Team
3) Rail Safety British By Transport Police
4) School Attendance By KCC Early Help
5) Drugs/Alcohol By Kenwood Trust
6) Water Safety By RNLI
7) Road Safety By KCC
8) Fire Safety By Kent Fire and Rescue
9) Emergency Life Support By Hopkins and Royal Harbour/Hartsdown School
10)Preventing Exploitation Margate Task Force/CSU/KCC
We have had great feedback from Schools and Pupils
