STEM Buzz Day at Canterbury University
15 Year 7 girls were selected to attend a special event hosted at the University to try and encourage young females to consider a career in engineering. The girls were deservedly selected based on their effort and progress in Science throughout year 7.
During the day the girls experienced a mixture of inspirational talks from female engineers and 5 hands on workshops delivered from a range of volunteer professionals, including bridge building, concrete tunnel making and ice cream making.
The girls were outstanding ambassadors to the school throughout the day, showing excellent manners on the train and through Canterbury high street and approaching the hands on workshops with true Royal Harbour energy and enthusiasm.
