Sixth Form Results 2018

6th Form Students pose with their result sheets.The Royal Harbour Academy is celebrating another excellent set of Sixth Form results for its student. 100% of students who sat the full International Baccalaureate Career Related Certificate passed the qualification and 100% of students passed their BTEC qualifications at either diploma or extended diploma level.

There were some excellent individual performance: Jaimie Bligh passed the IBCP gaining D*D*D* in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, a 5 in both English Literature and History and a B grade in his Reflective Project. Jaimie is going onto study Psychology at Southampton. On results day Jaimie said “I am extremely happy about my results and relieved that I have everything I need to make the next step towards my future.”

Leah Goldsmith passed the IBCP gaining D*D*D* in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, a 4 in English Literature a 5 in Social and Cultural Anthropology and a B grade in her Reflective Project. Leah has started a teaching apprenticeship at Christ Church C of E Junior Academy School. Leah said “I’m surprised at what I have achieved in a short 2 years at Sixth Form. I have worked hard and so happy with the outcome. I am loving my apprenticeship at Christ Church Junior’s and really missing my year 4 class today”.

Joel Helbling passed the IBCP gaining D*DD in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Services. Joel achieved a 6 in ITGS and a 5 in Maths Studies and a B grade in his Reflective Project. Joel is going onto study Computer Science at Kent University.

Ryan Stokes passed the IBCP gaining DM in BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport. Ryan achieved 4 grades in both English Literature and in History, and a C grade in his Reflective Project. Ryan is going onto study History and Sport & Exercise Science at Canterbury Christ Church. Ryan said “I am grateful for my entire Sixth Form experience. I am going to miss The Royal Harbour Academy and the Sixth Form life however I feel fully equipped and am excited about my next challenge at University.”

Headteacher Simon Pullen was very happy with the results and said, ‘I am very pleased that yet again our students have done so well in their Sixth Form qualifications. I want to say well done to all of the students who have worked so hard to achieve such creditable results and to thank all of their teachers for the support they have given to help every student achieve.’

Ollie Donohoe Head of Sixth Form said, ‘I am incredibly proud of the students and the results they have achieved. Working with the students through their Sixth Form journey, I have seen consistent; dedication, resilience and grit to overcome any challenge that they faced. Seeing them all achieve today was a very proud moment for everyone involved. All of the students have the grades needed to pursue their chosen destination including all those who have applied to University have won a place. Whether the students are going to University, starting an apprenticeship or going straight into employment they are equipped with the qualifications and skills to be highly successful post 18’

Linda Regan, Head of the International Baccalaureate Programme said, ‘I am very proud of all the students who have worked so hard over the past two years. They have had a huge impact in the life and running of the school and I wish them well at with their next steps and in their future careers.’
