Art - Printing Collagraph Plates
This week The Royal Harbour Academy Art Department have been running printmaking workshops with The University of the Creative Arts for Year 9 students. This has involved students creating and printing collagraph plates. The University of the Creative Arts have also just announced that they will be providing funding to pay for the Arts Award qualifications for our students.
Also this week we have had professional artist Nova Marshall supporting class 9Pink students with a creative art project. Students produced and presented their ideas to Nova who will be supporting them across a number of workshops this term. The outcomes will be displayed across the upper site when completed and they are working to the theme of 'the future' or 'futuristic'. This project has been funded through a special grant by the Thanet Arts Society.
Both projects are supporting students to produce evidence for their Silver Arts Award coursework portfolios.
