Margate Rotary Club recently hosted the Thanet Schools Young Artists Festival, celebrating the incredible creativity and talent of young artists across the district. A wide range of local schools participated, with Rotary members personally collecting artwork from each school to ensure all entries were included.
The exhibition was held at Sainsbury’s Westwood Cross, providing a vibrant and public platform to showcase the impressive work of the students. The event drew admiration from the public and the school community alike.
As a school, we were extremely impressed by the high level of skill and creativity displayed in each painting. Our students worked incredibly hard on their artwork, putting in time, care, and passion to create something they could be truly proud of.
We are especially proud of our own students who took part in the competition. Congratulations to Y10 student Conn, who was awarded First Prize for his age category, and to Massimo, Oskar and Bobbi who all got commended for their outstanding work. Our students were presented with their awards by the MP Sir Roger Gale, the Mayor of Margate, Jack Packman, and the Mayoress, Karen Brinkham.
Please take a look at these talented artists’ work, their creativity is both inspiring and uplifting. A huge well done to all the students involved — your dedication, talent, and effort truly shone through.
We thank Margate Rotary for organising this inspiring event and for supporting the young artists of Thanet.
