The Royal Harbour

Academy

Presentation Evening 2022

The evening of Wednesday 16th November, saw the Royal Harbour Academy celebrating the success and achievements of students. Current Year 8 to 13 students were nominated for awards, along with Year 11 and Year 13 leavers, in recognition of their exceptional contribution to specific subjects during 2021-22.

Our school choir, the RHA Wildflowers, opened the evening with a wonderful performance that was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. The school welcomed back an ex student, Tom Brooks, as the guest speaker for the event. While at the school, Tom spent many hours volunteering at Academy FM, and has since gone on to become an exceedingly successful sports commentator, voice over artist (most famously the voice over artists for Gran Turismo) and presenter. He gave a truly motivational and inspirational speech, and it was fantastic to hear about his success.

The Mayor of Ramsgate, Raushan Ara, was also in attendance, presenting the awards to students. The evening was filled with so much pride for our students.

Headteacher, Simon Pullen, commented: “For obvious reasons we haven't had a presentation evening for a couple of years and it was an absolute pleasure to be able again to celebrate the wonderful achievements of our students.”
