On Wednesday 18th January, the Royal Shakespeare Company Club had a visit from the lovely Sarah Booth from the Marlowe Theatre. Students had the opportunity to design and create their own costumes for their upcoming performance of their scene in ‘As You Like It’, which will be performed at the Marlowe Theatre.
The students thoroughly enjoyed trying tie dye, jewellery and accessory making and using different techniques of dirtying items for their characters. The Marlowe are always providing wonderful opportunities to get creative through the Royal Shakespeare Company.
English Teacher, Miss Leggatt said: 'It is truly inspiring to see how motivated the students were in creating something that they could wear on stage. Sarah was engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. I am really looking forward to spending the time cultivating this scene with such dedicated actors, designers and directors.'
