Year 12 Students Shine at Safety in Action Event at Dreamland

Week commencing 24th February, six exceptional Year 12 students from The Royal Harbour Academy, took part in the highly regarded Safety in Action event at Dreamland, where they delivered impactful safety workshops to local Year 6 students preparing for their transition to secondary school.

As part of their involvement, the students presented two safety scenarios to multiple primary school groups, helping young learners gain awareness of essential safety issues. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and ability to engage with the younger students left a lasting impression. During a visit on Tuesday morning, event organisers expressed overwhelming positive feedback, commending our students for their confidence, communication skills, and the outstanding manner in which they represented both themselves and our school.

In addition to their role in the workshops, all six students participated in a podcast, further demonstrating their leadership and commitment.

This event exemplified the true spirit of service learning, as our students developed essential life skills, including public speaking, leadership, and teamwork, while making a meaningful contribution to the local community. Their dedication and professionalism are a reflection of the values upheld by our Sixth Form and RHA, and we are incredibly proud of their achievements.

Mr. Stoner, the Head of Sixth F

orm, added, "Congratulations to Veja, Megan, Kevwe, Lily, Ryan, and Ellie for their outstanding efforts—they are a true credit to our school!"
