From School Stage to West End: Students Shine in Alice in Wonderland and Enjoy Trip to See Wicked

Our Theatre Club students transported audiences into a world of imagination and wonder with their recent performance of Alice in Wonderland, a vibrant and spirited production that celebrated months of hard work, creativity, and collaboration.

The performance led by Miss Stillman, staged in the school’s theatre, featured students across various year groups in acting, set design, costume, lighting, and stage management roles. Their dedication and talent brought Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale to life, leaving audiences thoroughly impressed.

Our very own teaching assistant Miss Pearce baked a spectacular Alice in Wonderland-themed cake, which the students enjoyed together after their final performance. The beautifully decorated cake was a fitting tribute to the creativity and imagination the students brought to the stage, and it added a sweet ending to their unforgettable theatrical journey.

As a reward for their outstanding efforts, the school organised a special trip to London’s West End, where the cast and crew attended a performance of the world-renowned musical Wicked. The trip was more than just a celebration; it was an opportunity for students to see live professional theatre, experience the magic of a large-scale production, and deepen their understanding and appreciation of the performing arts.

A reward trip like this gives students a unique chance to see what theatre can be at the highest level. They worked incredibly hard on Alice in Wonderland, and this was a fantastic way to recognise their efforts and inspire their future creative pursuits.

We are incredibly proud of our students and all they have accomplished through this production. They should be very proud of themselves—for their talent, their teamwork, and their dedication.
