Year 9 and 10 Build Coaching Skills with National Dodgeball Body

On Thursday 5th June, our Year 9 and 10 students took part in an exciting and highly engaging dodgeball leadership qualification event led by British Dodgeball, the national governing body for the sport.

As part of their development in physical education, students spent two hours under the guidance of James Robinson, a qualified coach from British Dodgeball. The session focused on equipping students with leadership and officiating skills, enabling them to lead a variety of dodgeball activities and effectively referee matches.

This event was specifically designed to enhance leadership, coaching, and officiating capabilities in students who are currently studying or planning to take GCSE PE. The experience has provided them with valuable tools and confidence that will support their continued development both in and out of the classroom.

We are proud of the way our students embraced the opportunity, demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork, and a strong willingness to learn. The event was a significant step in empowering them with the skills to take on leadership roles within sport and beyond.
