The aim of the RHA art department is to develop confidence, encourage creativity and to equip students with the artistic skills, necessary to reach their full potential and to foster a life long engagement with the visual arts.

To prepare students to be well-rounded individuals who are ready to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. Most importantly we want students to enjoy practical subjects, and to learn to look at and respond to art, and develop a lifelong love of the arts.

We offer a broad and varied curriculum which explores and celebrates a diverse range of exciting historical and contemporary artists and designers. Students will have the opportunity to experiment and discover their strengths within a lively, yet supportive, teaching environment. We strive to equip our students with the skills and techniques necessary to develop their own independent responses with an emphasis on the creative process and the development of quality outcomes.
